Hello! My name is Kate, and I am the woman behind Homethyme. I graduated from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in 2018, and as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner, my main focus with clients is women’s health—including menstrual health, pre- and postpartum support, skin health, and gut health. I am also a postpartum doula currently completing my certification with DONA International. Homethyme is both my business and my personal blog.
The name Homethyme was inspired by my love of home and what it means to make a house feel like a home. To me, home is being surrounded by the people I love and the things that bring beauty into my life. Cooking and homemaking are my greatest joys, and thyme is one of my favourite herbs—so it felt meant to be.
Here, I will be sharing recipes, ramblings, motherhood, words of affection, and a few projects here and there. When I close my eyes and think of what this platform would be in physical form, it would be the small moments of joy in everyday life: slow-simmering soups, the sound of butter sizzling in a cast iron pan, the kettle whistling, cardamom-infused bread, your baby’s giggle, a good-morning kiss from your husband, or the first sip of coffee in the morning. To me, that is Homethyme.
If this sounds of interest to you, I invite you to keep reading.
Simply put, this space will be about nutrition, postpartum life, homemaking, meals from scratch, motherhood, words of affection, and everything that keeps me dreaming of home throughout the day.
Thank you for visiting—I hope to see you here again soon. x
